Our Mar 31st Scratch Session was the biggest and best one yet! We had 19 deejays, dancers, and photographers come through. We spent the evening cutting it up at the studio and eating some delicious sweet onion chicken. We talked about everything from upcoming gigs, philanthropy events, and performances to future concerts and benefits. Last night, we were honored to have the lovely ladies of the Fatal Attraction dance crew in attendance and they wow'd us with their awesome choreography and their ability to perform in the confines of my small studio. =) We laughed, we made music, we made new friends, and most importantly, everyone helped keep my ego in check! After about a month of recruiting, interviewing, and filtering, I've added 13 new deejays to the team. Most have ridiculous amounts of experience and the newbies have nothing but drive and determination. We're here to rock Denver and show them what real music and love is all about! Now that I'm settled in here in Denver, it's time to hit the streets running! Today we have a Bridal Show at the Downtown Grand Hyatt and tomorrow I'm hitting the local colleges to check out their music departments and see what kind of local talent I can recruit. This weekend, I'm off to Market St in downtown Denver to network with all the local DJs and promoters.

Although we stopped doing our weekly ladies night at Trader Vics, we're hitting the wedding season with full force. It's been a great year for Absolute Productions with Hype branching off and starting his branch in Cape Canaveral while he works for NASA during the day. The Weekend Winedown this past Friday was a lot of fun. It was the first grown and sexy event I've seen (or deejayed)  in Fort Walton Beach since I moved here. Hopefully, we'll be doing more of these in the future. Props to Fred and Ed for putting it all together.

So one of my neighbors and good friends, Nino, is a bartender at Jet UltraLounge in Destin, FL. The place has a grown and sexy atmosphere and an amazing sound and light system. He's been hyping me up to the managers for their grand reopening and today he tells me that they want me to give them a call. So I'm excited. A weekly gig at Jet would be very nice, especially after doing so many college parties and weddings these last couple of years. The grown and sexy atmosphere is just what I'm looking for. Also, this would be a great opportunity for Yaz to put her photoshop skills to work and start putting  together fliers and promotional materials to help make Jet Destin's hottest lounge.

 
 

I'm really looking forward to this next wedding. Kayla's got a great personality and one of the best connections in Destin (she runs the Rave in Destin Commons - thanks for all the free tix Kayla!). Anyway, in case she reads this before the wedding, I just wanted you to know that I'm getting all the hot new music just for you. And of course, I've got those classic wedding tracks to keep all the parents moving all night too! =]
